It’s such a cliche to say that we need rest from working to avoid stress, burnout and fatigue.

Like most things. We never listen.

Research from a study by Microsoft Human Labs shows the powerful effect on our brains when we don’t take a break.

Decision making is severely affected when we choose under pressure or in a heightened state of emotion. Think of crimes of passion, rushing emails, confusing facts, misremembering events.

All can be avoided with a simple 10 minute break every hour.

The intention behavior gap and a false sense of urgency will combine to stop you making this sensible decision.
