People Wrongly Under-estimate their Personal Risk

A new US study finds that despite the widespread coverage, the perceived risk of infection and impact severity is severely underestimated vs the average person. This is classic overconfidence and the delusion of invulnerability where people mistakenly believe that infection will not happen to them.

High-touch platforms stressing individual safety rather than national safety will spread the message deeper to ensure quicker behavioral compliance and change.
